The Hughson Unified School district is an exciting place for people who care about public education. Community members and educators are working together to build an outstanding school system. The Hughson Schools have a long tradition of excellence. Spirits are high, with a great deal of pride in our schools and community. Community support for education has been a high priority as parents expect their students to maintain academic excellence.
As our district logo states, "Tradition, With The Future In Mind," Hughson’s commitment to educational excellence has been reaffirmed by the community’s investment in maintaining their tradition of quality public schools, while providing students with the academic offerings necessary for their future success. Hughson schools have the deserved reputation of providing an academically challenging educational program with a student body motivated to perform well, resulting in high student achievement.
Pertussis is widespread. If your child 10 years and older has not yet received the ‘Tdap’ pertussis booster shot, please contact your doctor or health department. Getting a booster shot now will protect your child against the ongoing threat of pertussis and meet a new school requirement that begins in the 2011-12 school year (California law - Assembly Bill 354).
Adults are also advised to get a pertussis booster shot, if they haven’t already, to protect themselves, their families, and their students.
Regular board meeting agendas are published on the district website 72 hours prior to the meeting. Special meeting agendas are posted 24 hours prior to the meeting. In the event of technical problems and the agenda is not available online, it may be viewed at the school sites or you may obtain a copy at the district office.
